We are unable to insert the front wheel in the fork because the width between the two forks is one inch (1") and the axle is one and one half inch (1-1/2") wide. The fork also is two inches wide at the top and pinches down to the one-inch at the two axle holes. We cannot force the two spokes apart without a tool and I am reluctant to do that for fear of damaging the fork. Is there a manufacturing defect here or are we doing something wrong in installing the front wheel? Thanks in advance

Same problem as a previous comment with the wheel hub wider than the width of the fork. Please advise also if this is a defect,or if I am doing something wrong. Thanks
